We purchased the first EHT3 enclosed trailer to transport our 2012 Can-Am Spyder RT limited edition.

We had been planning our first snowbird trip to Arizona this winter. We received our trailer the evening before a major snow storm hit the Midwest. We loaded the bike on the trailer that night along with golf clubs, Christmas presents, dog food, and stuff.

It was a breeze to drop the trailer to the ground and drive the bike on and connect the four tie-downs. We departed at 6 AM in a wintery blast of snow and wind. Our trip was divided up into three stages; Michigan to Memphis 780+ miles, Memphis to OdessaTexas 770+ miles and Odessa to Phoenix 740+ miles.

The first day we had 40-45 mph head and cross winds with gust over 55 mph. The trailer pulled with no problem, didn’t even know it was there. I was amazed at how effortless it pulled in those winds. We could not be more pleased, my wife tends to worry about things and never once gave the trailer a thought.

The trailer never tried to change lanes when the cross winds would gust. It seemed like the air flowed over and around it. I have pulled box type trailers before and that first day would have been terrible. Our second day was into the wind till we got past Little Rock.

We pulled the trailer with a 2012 GMC Acadia and when we got to Arizona, we were running at an average for the day of 17.4 at 73 mph. This included up and down the hills in west Texas and eastern Arizona.

We are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this trailer to anyone. I enjoy the convenience of the pop-up top. We have a battery back-up installed so we can raise it without the car being attached and we plan on installing lights on inside to make it easier to use at night.
